There are several other places to enjoy chat and conversations with like minded people. Here we feature some of our favorites, if you have a favorite chat portal that should be shared with the world, contact us and we’ll add it to the list!

Google chat / google talk - it’s from google, so you know it’s fast and efficient. You have to register to use it though, and you have to download software, as do other people who you’d want to chat with.

Meebo - A great service that allows you to chat with people using different software, if you have a friend who uses Aol, and another that uses yahoo, and a third that uses MSN - well Meebo can hook you up with all of them at once through the same portal. You have to download their software to use it.

Chat.com is run by Cnet - so you get tons of information bout the programs and options available. We love the editors reviews, and you know when you download software from a cnet property that it will have no spyware or viruses. I always read the notes for every program that cnet features, as they will be honest about addons- or any difficulties involved in un-installing a program.

mIRC - chat software that has downloaded 150 million times, that means a lot of people have used it. Many rooms, worldwide community. It’s neat.
